Post-humorous Declaration of Innocence
Help us do the right thing for Alice Glaston, an 11 year old girl, hanged for what we are more sure than not was witchcraft.
Hello friends,
Back in December, our Chief Executive issued a formal application to the Home Office and the art Hon Eyvette Cooper MP, Home Secretary to the United Kingdom, for a post-humourous declaration of innocence. This is otherwise known as a free pardon.
Whilst we accept that is would be impractical for the government to consider most people who were wrongfully executed in this country, we believe that Alice Glaston's case is incredibly unique. This was an 11 year old child. And as I write this today, Alice remains both in law, and by definition, a criminal.
We cannot change the past, but I believe it is an important contribution to her memory and good name that we finally give her that justice.
We have lost patience with the Home Office and it's now time we force them to listen to Alice's unique case. To do that, we need to achieve a huge number of signatures.
